“Wetlands without Borders”

Wetlands Inception meetingEnd of November 2017, two members of DOB Ecology partner Both Ends joined the “Inception meeting” in Paraguay to discuss the “Wetlands without Borders” programme.

Partners from Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina and the Netherlands joined forces for this programme in South America. The wetlands system of the Paraguay and Parana rivers extends for more than 3,400 km from north to south, from the Gran Pantanal del Alto Paraguay down to La Plata River, covering an area of approximately 400,000 square kilometres

The overall goal of the programme is that policies, legal frameworks and practices guarantee the long-term preservation of La Plata Basin.

All are very positive, enthousiastic and looking forward to the actual “kick off”.
